Routine Cleanings
Routine cleanings are essential for maintaining optimal dental health. It is recommended that you visit a dentist twice a year for a cleaning, because these appointments help us detect any developing issues, such as decay, gum disease, and oral cancer, as early as possible. The sooner the problem is detected, the better the chance we have of solving it. During a cleaning, one of our hygienists will thoroughly yet gently remove plaque, tartar and food from all of your teeth. Then, we will provide you with guidance as to how you can improve your at-home dental hygiene habits, so you can be proactive in preventing issues from developing.
Kids Dentistry
As a family dentistry, we treat patients of all ages, including children. Childhood is an important time to develop healthy dental habits, so kids can have strong, healthy smiles as adults! We understand that going to the dentist can be an intimidating experience for children. Our family-friendly team will treat them with kindness and gentle care, so they can be as comfortable and relaxed as possible. We will teach you how to properly brush and take care of your child’s teeth until they reach an age when they can do it themselves.
Fluoride
We also provide fluoride treatments for children. Fluoride is a well-researched element that has been proven to strengthen teeth and protect them from decay. Most tap water is fluoridated, but sometimes, children still don’t receive the amount of fluoride they need. We will administer fluoride as we see fit, so your child can develop strong teeth!
Sealants
Dental sealants are coatings that are often placed on children’s back molars. These teeth are very grooved on top, which makes them difficult to thoroughly clean. Therefore, because they are subject to food, plaque and bacteria, they are more vulnerable to decay. Sealants protect these back teeth from harmful substances so they can stay healthy, strong and cavity-free.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
After we remove a cavity, we use a filling to seal up the tooth and prevent any more bacteria from entering. The most popular filling option used to be made of silver amalgam. Not only are these fillings very noticeable in your smile, but they weaken the remaining tooth structure. At our practice, we provide tooth-colored fillings. These fillings are made of a composite material that is custom-colored to perfectly match the shade of your tooth, so it blends in with your smile. In addition, they help the remaining tooth to retain its strength.
Root Canals
If your tooth is decayed or has infection that has permeated to the root of the tooth, we will provide a root canal. During a root canal, we remove all of the infected pulp from the tooth and the root. Then, we will disinfect the tooth to kill any remaining bacteria. After the tooth is cleaned, we will restore it with a crown that is custom-created to match the shade and shape of the tooth. Our team always provides gentle care to ensure this treatment is as painless as possible.
Full & Partial Dentures
Whether you are just missing one tooth, or you are missing all of them, we offer custom-created full and partial sets of dentures. After taking careful measurements of your mouth and jaw, we will devise a set of dentures that will sit comfortably in your mouth. In addition, they will allow you to chew and speak properly. It may take a couple of days for you to adjust to your new dentures, but soon you will hardly notice they are there.
Extractions
If you have a tooth that is decayed, infected, or broken beyond saving, it is best to remove it. During an extraction, we will take out both the tooth and the root. Using state-of-the-art technology, we can make this a procedure that produces minimal discomfort. After the extraction, we will discuss options for replacing the tooth. Leaving a gap in the teeth not only affects the appearance of your smile, but it can also cause your other teeth to shift and can result in deterioration of the jaw bone, development of gum disease, or loss of chewing and speaking function. Options for replacement include dentures, crowns and bridges, and dental implants.
Dental Implants
Dental implants are a durable, long-term option for tooth replacement. An implant consists of a titanium post that is inserted into the gums, to serve as the root of the tooth. After a couple of months, the post will meld with the jaw bone, securing it in place. At this time, we will restore the tooth with a crown custom shaped and colored to blend in seamlessly with your smile. A dental implant will be just as functional as a normal tooth, and it will look just like a real tooth, so you can be confident in your grin.
Teeth Whitening
If your smile is not as bright as you would like it to be, ask us about our teeth-whitening treatments. We provide an at-home whitening kit that safely and dramatically whitens your teeth. The kit consists two custom-created trays, one for your top teeth and one for the bottom. We also provide a bleaching gel to fill in the trays. We recommend that you apply this treatment every day, and after a week or two you will see maximum results.
Or, if you would rather whiten your teeth quickly, we offer an in-office treatment that whitens your teeth in just one hour! We apply a hydrogen peroxide bleaching gel to cover the front surface of your teeth in controlled setting, which includes three 20-minute sessions (new gel is applied for each 20 minute session). After just one visit, you will see the difference.
Both of our teeth-whitening options are more precise, more reliable and more effective than over-the-counter whitening treatments.
Veneers
Veneers are very thin yet very strong porcelain shells that are bonded onto the front of the teeth. Veneers can change many features of your teeth, including the color, size, shape, and more. These are a great option for those looking to cover up chips, gaps, cracks, discoloration, etc. Our veneers are custom-created so that they will blend in seamlessly with the rest of your smile. Our team can help you determine if veneers are the right option for your needs.
Crowns & Bridges
A crown is a cap that is placed over a tooth, to restore or improve the strength and the shape. A bridge is a device used to fill in a gap in the smile. We place crowns on the teeth on either side of the gap, and these crowns are connected to an artificial tooth placed into the gap, to hold it in place. Both our crowns and bridges are custom-made for you, so you can rest assured that they will enhance the aesthetic appearance, as well as the functionality, of your smile.
